About.
Adam Davis is a photographer based in Norwich, UK, specialising in street photography and documentary storytelling. With a background in theatre, largely behind the scenes, light and narrative cast a leading role in his work, shaping the way he frames and interprets the world.
Travel has become central to his practice, opening conversations in fringe communities and illuminating urban landscapes to uncover stories that might otherwise go untold.
Slithers of lives in thoughts and fables.
Not wedded to a single style, these pages are his laboratory. An ad-mix of portraits, events, architecture, street, travel, and documentary, stretching from South America and Eastern Europe to the coastal regions of the East of England and beyond; this is his visual sketchbook.
Drawn to the human dialogue of everyday lives, he feeds on short, pointed interactions and conversations with strangers or a cheeky snap incognito. His projects seek to create visual narratives that resonate on both personal and social levels, combining a sensitivity to the people he meets with a cinematic sense of timing and composition.
